What is a Panoramic X-ray?

Panoramic x-rays are x-rays that show us the whole mouth (this can be compared to Bitewing or Periapical X-rays that show us a snapshot of just a couple of teeth).

PANs can give us useful information about:

* our wisdom teeth

* which dental replacement options might be available to you, if you're missing teeth 

* the status of your baby teeth/adult teeth

* potential abnormalities, like cysts, infections, etc.

* previous dental history, at a glance

* etc, etc
