NDD (New Denture Day!)
In this photo, the resorption on the right side is different than the left side (and fun fact: it's unique for every wearer!) - which means that we have to adjust the denture to accommodate for these details before giving it to the patient (otherwise, it won't fit properly!)
Unfortunately, resorption (or bone loss) is not reversible and can progress as the years pass. So, a well-fitting denture today may not fit as nicely as the time goes by, and you may need to plan for a new denture later on.
